This Program is aimed for students of Classical and Contemporary dance specialties, interested in acquiring tools to develop their pedagogical and stage work among people with functional diversity or mixed contexts.

INCLUSIVE DANCE

In the fields of educational dance, the inclusion of people with functional diversity and learning problems is a reality and a strong emerging sector. Future dance teachers need experiential and methodological tools to understand and integrate dynamics that enable them to work with groups in diversity. All human beings, in a wide and diverse range of physical, cognitive, sensory and mental capacities, share corporeity, movement and emotions through which they express themselves and communicate. Educational dance, from its creative aspect, is a universal and inclusive language.
The general objectives of this subject are to:
GO1 Form the future dance teacher who will meet the educational and creative needs of a heterogeneous population of students with and without functional diversity and other diversities.
GO2 Provide knowledge, skills and attitudes, from a practical theoretical approach, so that the future teacher develops and applies inclusive methodologies in the classroom of educational dance, valuing and enhancing the diversity of all its members.
GO3 Know the theoretical models that support the educational practice and the mastery of the different methodologies, strategies, techniques and styles of teaching applied to dance.
This subject contributes to the professional profile of the Higher Degree in Dance in the specialty of Pedagogy, in all its aspects, as the objectives are meant for the students to:
SO1 Be a highly qualified professional for the transmission and analysis of dance to people with diversity in an inclusive environment.
SO 2 Know and apply body techniques and the language of movement from the perspective of inclusive methodologies.
SO3 Possess sensitivity, knowledge and pedagogical tools to perform as a pedagogue of dance in inclusive contexts.
SO4 Keep an open mind towards educational, artistic, cultural, social and scientific innovations;
SO5 Be able to analyze the context of diversity in which their activity is carried out, planning and organizing their educational, artistic and social projects.

The competences are established in the curricula published in the corresponding order 25/2011, of November 2, by the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment, which establish and authorize the study plans of the higher level centers of dance artistic education dependent on the ISEACV , (acronym for the Higher Institute of Artistic Education of the Valencian Community) leading to the obtaining of the degree called Graduated in Dance.

GC3 Be aware of the basic principles, both theoretical and practical, of the functioning of the human body, in order to provide a global and integrating vision of it.

GC5 Have the capacity to lead people, in their creative, formative and / or interpretive process, using the necessary knowledge, resources and experiences.

Specific Competences
SC16 Know how to collaborate with the different sectors of the educational community and its environment, developing a cooperative work with teachers and / or professionals from other sectors, in order to carry out and manage complex and transversal projects aimed at integrating people and groups with special needs in training, education, health and community spheres, among others.
SC17 Acquire knowledge and skills to enhance the artistic and social dimension of dance as a key instrument in the integration of specific people and groups in the community.

We live in a society and a time where multicultural, multiethnic, intergenerational and plurisocial coexistence is a fact. Art, and more specifically dance is a powerful tool that can help to cohesion heterogeneous groups without losing their identity. From its community and creative perspective, dance is an inclusive and universal language, helping to grow the group feeling as well as it empowers people. Community dance, as an emerging sector within the inclusive performing arts, needs qualified professionals with practical theoretical knowledge and teaching methodologies which allow them to comprehend, integrate and apply the required dynamics for working in this area.
General Objectives for this Subject are to:
O1 Train the future teachers who will work in heterogeneous communities, using dance as a playful element that activates personal empowerment and group cohesion.
O2 Provide knowledge, skills and attitudes from a practical theoretical methodology to address community dance in a wide variety of contexts, valuing and enhancing the diversity of all its members.

CONTEMPORARY DANCE

The purpose of this subject is to know and analyze the basic corporal techniques for dancing, and more specifically to deepen into each of the styles within every thematic block, acquiring a bodily, spatio-temporal, cognitive, musical and artistic sensibility which will generate an interpretive quality. Therefore, it will contribute to the professional development of a qualified teacher for the pedagogical transmission of dance.
General Objectives for this Subject are to:
GO1Know and demonstrate the bases and basic principles of dance technique manifested through technical, healthy and effective execution.
GO2 Acquire autonomy over the technical work to be performed, enhancing memory, internalization and proprioception to better understand one's own body, the challenges of the technique and a clear understanding of individual strengths and weaknesses.
G03 Acquire and enhance body coordination of the movement required by the different dance techniques.
GO4 Know and detect different musical languages related to each style, according to stylistic, musical, interpretative and creative criteria.
GO5 Control the disposition of the body in space.
GO6 Interpretive and artistic: Improve the interpretive skills and enhance the artistic sensibility.

GENERAL SUBJECTS
STAGE WORKSHOP

The objectives of this subject are:
O1 Development of creative skills through research and experimenting different forms of creation which permits students to acquire a personal language.
02 Offer students the choreographic tools and procedures for the creation of corporal discourses. This is, therefore, to achieve a production space where the different aesthetics provided by the students, are put into play.

SPANISH / ENGLISH

The main purpose of the ENGLISH / SPANISH subject is to make students deepen into the technical specifical English / Spanish of their specialty based on their previous linguistic knowledge. The knowledge of the lexicon and the grammatical structures will be expanded as well as the use of the discourse of the foreign language at an intermediate level.
The objective for this subject are:
O1 Achieve a satisfactory level of communicative competence in English / Spanish in order to interact in different personal, work, professional and academic scenarios. In this subject the following communicative skills will be worked:
- Oral comprehension and oral expression
- Written comprehension and written expression.
