GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
To access the official studies leading to the Bachelor's Degree in Higher Artistic Studies in Dance Pedagogy, it is necessary to meet certain academic requirements and pass the specific entrance exam:
Academic requirements:
1. To gain access to official courses leading to an official Bachelor's Degree in Higher Artistic Education in the different fields, the following will be required:
a) To hold a Bachelor's degree, or a higher artistic education degree, a university degree or a Higher Technician degree, or a degree declared equivalent or approved to said degrees, or to have passed the university entrance exam for people over 25 years of age.
b) Pass the specific entrance exam for the corresponding discipline, in which it must be demonstrated that one possesses the knowledge, abilities, skills and aptitudes necessary to successfully complete the coursework.
2. Applicants born in 2007, 2008 and 2009 who, without meeting the requirements set out in section a) of the previous point, pass a specific test for persons aged 16 to 18 without academic requirements may also take the specific entrance test for higher artistic education in music and dance referred to in section b) of the previous point.
3. Those who hold a Higher Technician's Degree in Plastic Arts and Design or equivalent may directly access higher education studies in Plastic Arts and Design without having to take the specific entrance exam.
4. In accordance with Article 76 of Decree 117/2022, of August 5, of the Consell (Valencian Government) on the admission of students with disabilities, applicants who meet the general requirements but have specific educational needs arising from physical, mental, or sensory disabilities or other serious disorders, officially recognized with a degree of disability of 33% or higher, may request adjustments to the specific entrance examinations. This request must be submitted along with the application for registration for the specific entrance examinations, including the official medical certificate and supporting documentation justifying the degree of disability or serious disorder recognized by the competent bodies of the Generalitat (Valencian Government), the State, or other Autonomous Communities. The Higher Institute of Artistic Education of the Valencian Community, after reviewing the applications, will, if applicable, inform the evaluation panels of any additional measures adopted for the administration of the specific entrance examinations. This consideration does not exempt the applicant from fulfilling the specific requirements and passing the specific access test.
Partial enrollment (18 to 36 ECTS credits) is possible for justified reasons such as pursuing other studies, employment, or other similar circumstances. You can find more information at this link.
