CSDA teachers and graduates participate in an inclusive interdisciplinary dance project

The Sinapsis, Inclusive Dance and Performative Arts project is an initiative of the Ruedapies Inclusive Dance Association, directed by CSDA teacher Marisa Brugarolas together with CSDA graduates Alicia Esteve and Luis Martínez, and promoted by the Department of Culture of Alicante, Las Cigarreras and MACA with the support of the Art for Change program of the “la Caixa” Foundation.

Sinapsis, Inclusive Dance and Performative Arts is an artistic-educational, inclusive and participatory project aimed at people with and without functional diversity over the age of 18 with inclusive dance workshops and final shows, in which we will create a space for artistic dialogue through the experiences and contributions of the participants throughout the process.

If you want to participate in this project, carefully read the registration brochure that we attach and write to ruedapiesdanza@gmail.com . Remember that places are very limited and that a commitment to participate and attend will be required on the days that the project lasts, since we will end with a joint exhibition open to the public. You can enroll in the

Group 1 Tuesday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in Las Cigarreras. It will start on February 14

Group 2 Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the MACA Museum of Contemporary Art of Alicante. It will start on February 16.

Through workshops on expressive movement, dance and interdisciplinary performative action , the participants will approach the active knowledge of their expressive capacities, using strategies in which they will become active agents of their own knowledge. The personal and group transformation sought will come from placing their personalized movement and artistic expression in real and imaginary spaces that dialogue with their perception of the world, with art, with their interior and exterior space, and with the group itself.

With all the material generated, a singular performative work will be created that will be presented to the public at the beginning of June, arising from the appropriation of the work of art and appreciation of its experience and expression through the body and movement. This group dialogue will be generated through the interdisciplinary language in which contemporary dance as an expressive movement, gesture, visual arts and music will intervene.

The workshops, exhibitions and closing ceremony will be held at the Las Cigarreras Cultural Center and the Contemporary Museum of Alicante MACA from February 14 to June 10. More info in the registration brochure and by email: ruedapiesdanza@gmail.com
